Dr. Wen-Pai Lu is a highly accomplished cybersecurity leader with over 20 years of experience in product management, professional services, solution development, and strategic business advisory. With deep expertise in cybersecurity, internet technologies, healthcare IT, and more, Dr. Lu has consistently delivered innovative solutions that address complex customer challenges. His unique ability to translate technical concepts into business value has earned him recognition as a trusted advisor to industry leaders and stakeholders.

Currently, Dr. Lu serves as a Teaching Professor at Santa Clara University, where he educates graduate students in diverse cybersecurity domains. He partners with industry leaders and academic institutions to cultivate the next generation of cybersecurity professionals and collaborates with state governments to bridge the cybersecurity workforce gap. He is also a partner with a consulting firm, X-Creative Lab where he focuses on product strategy and development and cybersecurity consulting.

Dr. Lu previously held leadership roles at prominent technology and financial organizations, including J.P. Morgan Chase, Cisco, AT&T, Verizon Wireless, and several startups. He spearheaded product management initiatives that revolutionized user authentication, providing frictionless access to computing resources. His extensive computer networking and cybersecurity expertise spans Identity and Access Management (IAM), mobile Internet, endpoint security, application security, cloud security, SMDS, and ATM LAN.

Additionally, he was a founding member of IEEE 802.10 LAN Security working group and served an editor for IEEE 802.10a. He also actively participated in multiple standard organizations, such as ATM Forum, IETF, Mobile Wireless Internet Forum, ETSI Virtual Network Function working group, SDN Forum, etc.

Dr. Lu holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Arizona. He holds a US. Patent for voice-based authentication method for mobile services. He earned several prestigious certifications, including CISSP and multiple SANS certifications, and has completed PMP training at George Washington University.
