Eric Du advises companies through United Pacific Strategy Advisors on market entry strategy, cross-border positioning, and industry partnership alliance building, particularly in complex, government-driven sectors such as defense, dual-use technology, and biopharmaceuticals.

Prior to founding United Pacific, Eric served as a strategic planning leader at Astellas Pharma, where he focused on R&D transformation and operating model redesign, supporting the company’s shift toward a more agile and integrated global development organization.

Before joining Astellas, Eric was a Strategy Consulting Manager at KPMG, advising life sciences and healthcare clients on corporate strategy, M&A due diligence, and organizational transformation. His clients ranged from large pharmaceutical companies to smaller biotech firms, as well as life sciences tools and medical device companies.

He also worked at Gilead Sciences, where he supported strategic initiatives within the R&D organization, including process improvement, governance design, and cross-functional coordination to improve development efficiency and decision-making.

Eric began his career at John Snow, Inc. (JSI), contributing to global public health programs focused on healthcare delivery, operational effectiveness, and data-driven decision-making across international development initiatives.

He holds an MBA from Georgetown University, an MPH from Emory University, and studied Neurobiology as an undergraduate at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He frequently writes and speaks on cross-border innovation ecosystems, defense industrial cooperation, and market entry strategy in highly regulated industries.
