Chiao is an expert career coach who recently published his debut book. His journey is defined by a global perspective and a deep commitment to helping others navigate the complexities of the job market.

From Global Engineer to Career Mentor

Five years ago, while based in Taiwan, Chiao secured job offers from top-tier companies across the globe, including GitLab (USA), ByteDance (Singapore), Mozilla (UK), and Telus (Canada). He ultimately chose to join Amazon in the United States. After a successful four-year tenure—staying long enough to fully vest his stock options—he transitioned into full-time career coaching.

Over the past five years, Chiao has empowered over 200 professionals to secure offers across 20 different countries, spanning overseas roles, top-tier multinational corporations, and remote positions. To Chiao, coaching is more than just job hunting; it is a journey of self-discovery, exploration, and personal growth.

The Philosophy of "Data-Driven Job Hunting"

Chiao has distilled his experiences and secrets into his new book: A Career Path for a Lifetime: Data-Driven Job Hunting. Having benefited from many "lucky breaks" in his own career, he wrote this book to pass that luck—and the strategy behind it—on to everyone else.

A Non-Linear Path

Chiao’s career has been anything but a straight line. He has translated three notable books—The Place of Danger, Testing Web APIs, and The Art of Agile Development—milestones that mark his "wandering" path from coach to engineer, and back to coach and facilitator.

Current Mission

Today, Chiao is dedicated to helping job seekers use data-driven insights to identify their blind spots. In an often chaotic market, he teaches candidates how to regain control, navigate life’s crossroads, and find their ideal professional positioning.

Chiao is passionate about—and excels at—helping others succeed in their careers. His goal for this year is to host book launch events worldwide to share his methodology, ensuring that job seekers everywhere no longer have to feel lost.

喬是一位教練，對求職很有一套，剛出了一本書。

五年前曾從台灣拿到許多國家的 Offer，包括美國 Gitlab、新加坡 Bytedance、英國 Mozilla、加拿大 Telus 等。最後選擇到美國 Amazon。待了四年（拿完股票）就離開正式做求職教練了。

這五年陸續協助超過兩百人拿到橫跨二十國的海外求職、頂尖外商與遠距工作的 Offer，同時透過教練，讓求職變成自我認識、探索與成長的過程。

喬將這段過程、秘訣全部寫進了《ㄧ生受用的求職方式：量化求職》中。喬有很多幸運，也想將這份幸運用這本書傳給大家。

喬的職涯走過許多歪路。像是我曾翻譯了三本書《危險之境》、《Web API 測試策略》 與 《敏捷成功之道》，標記了喬從教練走向工程師，再走回教練與引導師的麋鹿軌跡。

目前致力於幫助求職者透過數據看清求職盲點，在混亂的市場中掌握主導權，突破人生的十字路口，找到理想的職涯定位。

喬喜歡、擅長也發願助人求職順利。今年的目標是會在世界各地辦新書分享會，只希望推廣讓更多人知道這套，求職不再迷惘。
